Ingredients
Base quantities for 4 people. DinnerRoster resizes them to your household when you build a roster.
- Ground turkey1 lb
- Rigatoni12 oz
- Crushed tomatoes28 oz
- Low-sodium chicken broth3 cups
- Yellow onion1
- Garlic3 cloves
- Baby spinach5 oz
- Fresh basil1 bunch
- Olive oil1 tbsp
How dinner comes together
Dice the onion, mince the garlic and roughly tear the basil leaves.
Heat the oil in a large Dutch oven. Cook the onion and turkey, breaking the meat into crumbles, until it reaches 165°F, 7–8 minutes.
Stir in the garlic for 30 seconds, then add the crushed tomatoes, broth and rigatoni.
Bring to a lively simmer and cook uncovered, stirring often, until the pasta is tender and the sauce clings to it, 12–15 minutes.
Fold in the spinach until wilted. Remove from the heat, stir in the basil and season to taste.
