Baked Chicken Meatballs, Marinara & Spaghetti
Oven-baked chicken meatballs and spaghetti deliver a familiar red-sauce dinner without stovetop frying.
Ingredients
Base quantities for 4 people. DinnerRoster resizes them to your household when you build a roster.
- Ground chicken1 1/4 lb
- Plain breadcrumbs1/2 cup
- Egg1
- Garlic2 cloves
- Italian seasoning2 tsp
- Spaghetti12 oz
- Marinara sauce24 oz
- Flat-leaf parsley1 bunch
- Olive oil1 tbsp
How dinner comes together
Heat the oven to 425°F. Mix the chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, half the chopped parsley, salt and pepper.
Shape the mixture into four loosely packed meatballs per person and arrange them on an oiled sheet pan.
Bake until browned and the centers reach 165°F, 15–18 minutes.
While the meatballs bake, cook the spaghetti until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup cooking water, then drain.
Warm the marinara, add the meatballs, then toss the spaghetti with enough sauce and reserved water to coat. Finish with the remaining parsley.
